Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi is a sacred, restorative Hawaiian massage

Loving head, heart & hands

Lomi Lomi is a sacred art form of massage that is characterised by continuous long flowing strokes and rhythm. It means to knead and make soft through a loving touch. It works gently yet deeply into the muscles, activating meridians and energy points, releasing tension and energetic blocks, and allowing the body’s own healing processes to take over.

The constant long strokes in Lomi Lomi are designed to help the body let go of its patterns and tension. And the hypnotic rhythm acts to bring the mind to a place of absolute stillness. It's transformative due to the deep relaxation and surrender that allows the nervous system to fully rest and the body to self-organise for optimum health.

Lomi Lomi is often different to what is out there on the high street. People find it's less clinical and diagnostic, more intuitive and supporting life force to flow through the whole body. The benefits of Lomi Lomi are reported on both the physical and energetic levels, with the still presence and loving hands of the massage practitioner paramount.

During a Lomi Lomi massage, clients are asked to be fully undressed on the table with a sarong respectfully covering the parts of the body that aren't being massaged. If this is uncomfortable for you, underwear can be left on. Blankets and a warm room are always present. Lots of oil nourishes the body during a Lomi Lomi massage and hot towels are available at the end of the massage to wipe away excess oil. It is best to avoid eating food upto 2 hours prior to the massage. Any questions, please feel free to contact me.
